International Trade Fair for Urban Green and Open Spaces (GaLaBau) is the European trade fair for landscaping and maintenance and construction of sports grounds, golf courses and playgrounds. The trade fair takes place in the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg every two years.

The trade visitors are made up of companies from the horticulture, landscape gardening and open spaces construction sectors, landscape architects as well as planners from government, state and municipal authorities.

GaLaBau is perfectly complemented by its two sections, PLAYGROUND and Deutsche Golfplatztage, with their ranges directed at the operators of leisure parks, camp sites and kindergartens as well as at managers involved in the construction, care and management of golf courses.  GaLaBau 2014 closed with a triple record: 1,321 exhibitors, including 23 per cent international, exhibited – for the first time in 13 exhibition halls.

Some 50 per cent of the exhibitors presented construction and maintenance machinery, about 30 per cent offered building materials, and 20 per cent covered special products like playground equipment, urban furnishings and the golf course construction and maintenance segment. Some 66,500 trade visitors travelled to the event to source information on products and trends in green design, construction and maintenance.
